While none of our ingredients would be considered harmful, we recommend always checking with your healthcare provider.
Everyone is remarkably different (how much you spray, if you sweat, what kind of fabric you wear etc). Most customer's feedback is that it lasts most of the day.
Great question! We use a premium blend of essential oils (natural plant based) and Fragrance oils (which are made up of natural isolates, naturally derived isolates and/or synthetic aromas). Fragrance oil allow us to create more complex scent profiles while still staying close to nature. Often times when using fragrance oils it is more sustainable to produce.
100% soy.
Phthalates are a chemicals used in cheap fragrance oils. You can not smell or taste them, which makes them unnoticeable in items such as candles. There has been little research on phthalates. Current research shows it may cause cancer and affect human reproduction or development. Some research says not all phthalates are bad, but we choose to avoid phthalates altogether.
100% Soy candles tend to burn longer in comparison to paraffin candles of the same size. The extended burn time is directly related to the density of soy wax; it’s fact that soy wax requires more heat to melt, increasing the longevity of your candle.
It’s also environmentally friendly and biodegradable, which is an added bonus :)
Wood wicks are a thin slabs with a wide base so they are able to create large, even melt pools that allow for a better fragrance throw in comparison to cotton wicks. Wood wicks tend to elicit a cleaner burn which means minimal carbon buildup with minimal debris and sooting.
All of our fragrances are made from essential oils and synthetic isolates from natural sources. They are suitable for sensitive skin and comply with IRFA concentration levels for safe application. Additionally, they are Paraben-free, Mutagen-free, Carcinogen-free and Phthalate-free. Any products labelled “All Natural” comply with ISO 9235 standards.
Wood wicks can be finicky, but they are OH SO PRETTY to listen to! We suggest trimming your wick before each burn to decrease the chances of soot, and keeping the flame size within a safe range. The wick should be 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your wax. Be sure to not trim your wick too short, or it could decrease the size of the melt pool, and effect the range of the candle scent. If your wick is too long, the flame will flicker or “dance” and could cause sooting.
Candle soot is a black, smokey substance that can burn from the wick. It’s not aesthetically pleasing, or safe. One of the absolute best ways to keep soot down when you're burning a candle is to keep the wick trimmed to about ¼”. When you first light your candle make sure your wick is trimmed to the proper height so you don’t start off with a flame that is too high, and allow your candle to form a full melt pool on your first burn.
Another way to avoid soot, is to keep your candle in an area that is well contained and not near any windows or doors that have drafts coming in. When the candle is exposed to drafts or air flow it can cause the candle flame to “dance” and produce more soot than intended. Keep your flame under control.
